The rest of the platoon then arrives, although Lyle Smithsonian is missing.
Samus later reaches the Exam Center, and finds James Pierce doing something under the desk of the main computer. On her journey through the tropical area, she encounters a small, furry creature that begins to follow her. He orders Samus to find the Exam Center in Sector 1. Samus and the platoon work together to take it down.Īdam tells Samus the conditions of her cooperation in the mission.Īdam allows Samus to cooperate in their mission, under the condition that she obey his orders and refrain from using certain weapons and equipment until he authorizes them. The team discovers the body of a Lab Worker, and are soon attacked by a collective mass of purple insects. Adam refuses to divulge why they are on the station, but Samus decides to stay on board for the sake of the platoon. Leading them is Commander Adam Malkovich, her former commanding officer.
Soon after landing on the seemingly deserted BOTTLE SHIP, Samus encounters the Galactic Federation 07th Platoon, and is greeted by Anthony Higgs, an old friend from her days in the Federation Army. Weeks later, she picks up a Baby's Cry distress signal from the derelict BOTTLE SHIP. After giving a mission report, Samus departs for space. The game begins with a dream recounting the climax of Super Metroid, where Samus battles against Mother Brain and watches the baby die. That's about as ergonomic as I can get it. When you're in first person view (holding down LT) and using the left stick to move your POV, you hold down the North face button to aim and then press the East face button to fire a missile. That gives you shoot and jump where you expect them. The D-Pad is bound to the emulated WiiMote's D-Pad, of course, and the left stick to its IR directions (Up, Down, Left, Right). You can then hold down "LB" to point it up, and "LT" to point it at the screen. Anyway, that gives you a sideways WiiMote. The image prefers the right triggers and buttons on the right side I prefer the ones on the left side. Anyway, I'm just going to describe it for people who find text easier to follow. I tried coming up with an optimal gamepad config independently, and I pretty much just ended up just recreating what's in the image.
